Daily Ramblings
It's been quite a tumultous 4 weeks and finally the 'O' levels are over. Time seems to pass so quickly, 4 weeks gone in a flash. However, I can assure anyone that during those 4 weeks, every second seemed to drag by, every second seemed to be an additional emotional burden. But at least there was an objective, an aim in life, unlike now, where I am rotting at home, doing absolutely nothing meaningful. Ha!That is when my craving for shopping sets in! Let me see...The last time I when shopping was a pretty long time ago. With Geography and S.S mounting on the pressure, I wasn't as 有空 as I used to be. So, this results in something drastic- a kind of (Shopping addict) syndrome. Let me just demonstrate the negative repurcussions of examinations; Within 2 days, I had spent close to $460( quite tentatively), and I don't feel like stopping.
I set my eyes on this black strap, black face DKNY watch that costs about $290. As there was no stock available, I had to make a reservation of a piece of it. However, Mummy and Daddy decided to purchase it as a gift for my birthday. Hopefully, there's a discount. Yay! Simply gorgeous... Well, that's the first. Yesterday, I was shopping at Takashimaya when my eyes were once again attracted, this time by a Cerruti 1881 wallet. The wallet costs $140, but I had no qualms or hesitation in purchasing it. However, there was no stock available, and I am still waiting for the sales assistant to reply me. I feel that the wallet is a real steal. How often do you get a legendary Italian design house presenting new goods at such a price ( I heard from my little bro that my cousin had paid $100+ for a wallet from The Wallet Shop that is normal)? If one is paying an almost similar amount, getting a branded wallet is definitely much better than getting one with uncouth words scribbled all over it coming from some dubious brand. My hands are aching from playing my cousin's Nintendo Wii. It's a great console, providing lots of interactivity. However, I must say that the graphics are nowhere as good as the PS3 or XBOX 360. But I am a loyal PS fan,so the XBOX is not for me. Sigh... I will just have to wait for the price for the PS3 to drop even further till it becomes affordable. By the way, I was going through the PAE information booklet from the MOE website when I saw that RJC's cut-off point for the Science stream for PAE in 2007 is 3 points. It means that even my L1R5 of 6 points for Prelims and 2 bonus points for my CCA will be unlikely to be able to get me in. Sigh...I'd better work out a game plan fast. Till then...
