Looking Back
Sigh...I finally found the time to sit down and start blogging. It's only been one and a half weeks past DramaNite and I am beginning to miss rehearsals so much, like as if they are the purpose of my life. But, I really enjoyed myself throughout the past couple of weeks and I can say that it's definitely one of the best experiences in my life. Despite losing my voice on stage halfway through the play, it was worth the effort, pain and fatigue as I seriously enjoyed myself. How can I ever forget the countless chats and soccer(with tape) sessions with Mark and Ziyang, watching the two guys play pranks on Andrea and mock Audrey, and the times when we left school only at 11pm? How can I ever forget the laughter, hysteria, moodiness and tears that filled the times? I can't, and will never. To my directors: Audrey,Fiona & Mark Audrey: Thank you so much for having faith in me and my acting skills, for working so hard and pushing yourself to the limit every single rehearsal! It has been a great pleasure being able to work with you on Fast Cars, and I hope that whatever may come, do stay strong! All the best in your academic pursuits! Fiona: What can I say? It was really great to have you as a director! Flexible and interesting, I really enjoyed working with you as it gave me the freedom to really distinguish Eddie all by myself. Thanks for all the effort, zeal and commitment that you have provided throughout the past couple of weeks! I will always remember those 'Fiona-moments'! Mark: Mark, I guess millions of 'Thanks!' would not be enough to express my gratitude towards you. You were the very first person I knew in Drama Club (apart from Ganesh who got kicked out), you were the one who eased me and settled me down, guided me throughout the rehearsals and readily stood up against teachers without hesitation. It was from you that I had found the determination to drive myself to provide 200% or 300% worth of my efforts, the inspiration to step up and say proudly that 'I want to lead this club!' . Without you, nothing would have been possible. Thanks, for the good times, for the memories, for making DramaNite 08 and my first acting experience so wonderful! To my fellow main cast members: Ziyang & Andrea Ziyang: To my fellow senior of VS 4A and the VJ Drama Club, it was great to be working alongside you. We shared the same goal, the same vision and the same commitment and determination to make our one and only play 'a Grr-reat SucCess!( Borat!)'. Thanks for squeezing out your brain juice to come with the various spoofs that determined the very fate of Fast Cars, for all the wonderful music that seemed so natural with our play! You were indispensible and I thank you for always being there when it was just down to the both of us! It is a real pity that I will only get to work with you this year, but in future, I hope there will be many more opportunities! Thanks Ziyang! Andrea: Your bubbly character and perpetual smile never fails to light up anyone's day, including mine. Andrea, your professionalism had made things so much easier for me to be your co-actor. Thank you for working so hard on both 'Road Runners' and 'Fast Cars', for having the courage to perform the kissing scenes despite *cough*cough*, and for being such a wonderful actress, excelling in both performances and making a clear distinction between Stella and Laura with so much ease. I hope to be able to work with you as an EXCO member if I get elected in as well! Thanks Andrea! It has been really great working, communicating and co-operating with you! To the ensemble: Dee Jee, Weiting, Kenickie & Crystabel Dee Jee: Thanks for being there to guide the main cast, for lending me your Econs notes a day before the test, for helping me with my make-up and being such a wonderful friend! Jiayou for the EXCO elections! Weiting: You did it! It was a flawless performance from you that drew attention and laughter(Everything!) from the crowd! Well done! Kenickie & Crystabel: I did not get to work as closely with the 2 of you, but I am sure we all had a great time! Thanks! The elections and interviews for Drama Club's EXCO nominees are drawing close. I would proudly say that I am running for President, and that whatever happens, I will always deliver that same amount of zest, effort and commitment! Till then... |
