    If music be the food of love, play on

    "If music be the food of love, play on;
    Give me excess of it, that, surfeiting,
    The appetite may sicken, and so die."
    - Twelfth Night

    Duke Orsino's famous words in Twelfth Night seems to resonate around me. Frustration surrounds me. I'm feeling lethargic, tired. Monday blues I suppose?

    Michael Bublé's music never fails to sweep me off my feet and leave me in a swinging mood. Jazz just seems to lighten everything, and Bublé's vocals is just mesmerising. But what a pity, my parents don't really enjoy jazz a lot, so I try not to play jazz on the hi-fi in my room. Well, I still have my iPod.

    The Time Traveler's Wife is a book that I just can't seem to put down( I'm more than halfway through). The further I read, the more I get obsessed with it. Well, I won't encourage the young to read it due to the numerous raunchy and intimate scenes in the story. However, these scenes actually complement the story, reflecting the closeness of the protagonists and throws weight into this question: Would you rather have a moment of true love than a lifetime of deception? It's a typical love story that considers the atypical, the impossible. Start, and you will not get your eyes off it. I was reading the book until I had to be chased to sleep, something unprecedented. :)

    Drama's EXCO election results will only be out during our weekly Wednesday meeting, as confirmed by Mark and Yawen. I'm starting to get all fidgety, but I just have to wait.

    Ernest accompanied me to VS to hand in reply slips and collect our School Graduation Certificates. There, I met Li Chieh. Well, he's much quieter now and he seems to be more normal already( He keeps asking me whether girls at VJ are hot. I look at Ernest, then told him he wouldn't be there in 2 years, and no. So his preference is quite normal now.) But I heard the balance in ELDDS is disrupted again. Debate has close to 50 members by themselves, and Drama is inches away from closing down. Miracles happen. Li Chieh gets a higher EXCO post (Secretary) than Sahil. I am flabbergasted and utterly disappointed. Not what I planned, not even in my expectations. But it's saddening to see this happen.Really. I set the foundations, then they lay the bricks for an upside down house that looks like an inverted pyramid. Any moment, it will topple.

    Till then...
