Letter of Complaint to the Ministry of Fairness (MOF)

It is with deep regret that I write this letter of complaint to the MOF. Once again, the ugly side of incosiderate Singaporeans has sprung up, and I feel the utmost need to highlight this matter. It happened on a really hot and humid Friday afternoon. My friend and I boarded the MRT carriage on our way home from school at around 3pm. Well, seats were aplenty in that particular carriage, but the number of seats taken just did not seem to match the number of people in the carriage. Peculiar? Horrible. Evident in the source attached above, the problem arised beacause of the fact that some people were just taking too many seats. Their actions had provided them with ease of space and satisfaction at the expense of other passengers. This was not the only case. In that particular carriage, a total of 5 people had engaged in this unpleasant dismeanour, free-riding on the rights of people who duly paid for their seats and people who really need those seats. It is my intention to amplify the awareness of members of the public, as well as to urge the relevant authorities to take action against these free-riders. These incosiderate acts cannot be condoned, even in the event that no one is taking up those seats. Only then, can Singapore truly work towards be a more civic-minded society. Note: No negative intent was asserted or implied towards any of the subjects mentioned above and is purely meant to raise awareness on the inconsiderateness of such actions.
