    v.Actors EXCO 08/09

"Let the dawning of each day herald the birth of a new beginning!"

It is indeed a new beginning. I was so ecstatic during the v.Actors meeting when they had announced the new EXCO! My mind was loaded with so many words and random thoughts, but none of them seemed to flow out from my mouth. I was overcome with happiness, and sheer joy that yet another miracle has happened. Here's how the v.Actors EXCO 08/09 looks like:

President : Bryan Tan ( That's me, dodo!)
    Vice-President : Serena Alwani
    Secretary : Andrea Chong
    PR Officer : Yvette Koh
    Treasurer : Arianto
    Quartermistress : Esti Jenita

I can say that I'm pretty surprised at the way it's turned out. Note, there are 4 TSD students in the EXCO, which means that when TSD has things cropping up next year, I will be running a one-man show. (Andrea's joining TSD next year as well!!!) That's bad, but Mark conveniently said that he forgot to take that into consideration.

However, let's not neglect the effectiveness and enthusiasm that this EXCO possesses. Right after the handover, we had our first EXCO meeting. I left halfway through the meeting, but guess what? 5 hours later, I received the meeting minutes from Andrea. That's really fast and we're going places!(Yan Jie and Kishen, I think you still owe me about 15 meeting minutes!)

    To: Serena
It has been a great pleasure to be working with you, and it will definitely continue to be in the year to come. We have great plans and great ambitions, but I know we will be able to handle them, let alone walk on with a bang! Thanks for getting the seniors to vote for me instead of you, even though up till now I still can't quite believe that happened. Thanks a million!

    To: Andrea
Andrea, I'm at a loss for words. You are the most efficient and responsible junior I've ever worked with. The tenacity you possess is enough to scare me! Minutes within 5 hours, calls made to IPs and EXCO nomms within minutes, I think that you're like a gem in my EXCO! I'm so, so glad that v.Actors and Mark's EXCO recognised the potential and ability you have in leading this club! May you continue to shine! I know you "don't stone or pebble", you rock!!

    To: Yvette
Many seniors and J1s recognise your PR skills, and I don't doubt it as well! May we have a good year ahead, and keep improving the publicity of v.Actors!

    To: Arianto
Well, looks like we're the only two guys in the EXCO. I am also very happy that I will get to work with you as you 're yet another tenacious worker who is effective and relentless. I'm sure that with you around, my tenure will be a breeze.

    To: Esti
Esti, thanks for all the hard work, but there will be much more to come when v.Actors undergoes a revamp! Keep going, and take good care of my toilet bowl ya?

I have high hopes for this EXCO, and I know they are not going to let me down. There's just so much ability in each of us. I have many thoughts in my head, and I'm pretty sure I can change the Arts scene in VJC, at the same time elevating the status of v.Actors to that of the other major performing arts CCAs. I have plans that will make it, plans that ex-Presidents never dreamt of.

On a sidenote, I was so happy that even when I bumped into Doria, I forgot to tell her about the results. But I was so happy to see her as well, and in the end she's the first friend to know of my appointment. I seldom see her due to clashes in our timetables, and she seldom does too, but she often sees Shi Wei during assembly. Hahax!! Three cheers for the delegation of France!! That reminds me, I haven't dealt with Judy's problem yet. Oops.
