Call it "The Medal for Slogging"

Yesterday was a day filled with nolstalgia and fun. The 132nd Speech Day served as a reminder that we had grown up (and that I was turning old after I saw the cute, little Secondary 1 kids). But it felt pretty normal, since most of my classmates are also at VJC. Alas, it is one day where we see the fruits of our success and labour turn into recognition for ourselves and pride for our families.

THANK YOU, MUMMY AND DADDY AND DIDI, FOR BEING THERE WITH ME!! I REALLY APPRECIATED IT!! (And for allowing me to end up at the airport until almost 10.45pm!!) I LOVE YOU!!

The ceremony was pretty boring. We had to be in the hall by 11am for rehearsals, so I nearly fell asleep. For lunch, we went to ThaiPan. Shi Wei and I got "pang seh-ed" by the rest and ended up taking a bus from VS to the next bus stop since we realised it was not feasible to end up sweating by the time we reached there. We also decided that the "Delegation of France" for the DHS ASEAN Plus Summit 08 should go out for a meal soon, then we can *cough* *cough**cough* a certain somebody by the name of *cough*. Hahax lol!! But we are all so busy, and with the Promos looming ahead, perhaps we have to wait till after that, when an outing might have already lost its meaning. However, the thought of "suan-ing" just makes us more determined to see it go through. During lunch, Shi Wei was bitching about *cough* and his girlfriend, while the rest were busily engaged in their own discussions.
    I HELD AN iPHONE YESTERDAY!
It belonged to Kittipat, but it was so cool, it just leaves me dreaming again.
    THE CEREMONY CUM CONCERT
I had to wait a long time before everyone finished their speeches. As usual, the ceremony is always a boring segment. However, I really enjoyed the performance by the Choir, Indian Dance and Dikir Barat teams. The performance by the first alone was simply spectacular! And at the very last...you know what to expect! We broke our into the different cheers, but the seniors got embarassed when we couldn't finish the last cheer and ended abruptly. Lol!
AT THE AIRPORT - DINNER AND SUPPER
Shi wei, Ryan, Ernest and I left first, but Ernest "pang seh-ed" us in the end. "Kopitiam" was packed by the time we reached there, before our camwhoring side took over and the cameras were snapping away. We wanted to have ice cream at Swensen's, but both the T2 and T3 outlets were packed, so we had no choice but to play games at MacDonald's. I just realised how lousy I was with some of them, even though I managed to catch them pretty quickly. Just one thing to say: Loads of fun!
By the time Wei Liang and I left the airport, it was already 10.45pm, but we still discussed about school stuff and random things before I finally alighted at some "ulu ulu" bus stop for Daddy to pick me up. Slumberland was only discovered at about 1am.
In a nutshell, time has passed so quickly before my eyes, I don't know if I'm still in control...
I feel old, feel as though my shoulders have become very, very heavy.
My heart feels an emptiness that yearns, and yearns, but will it happen?
