Chelsea 4-0 Portsmouth FC Goal Deco
Deco's 89th minute goal against Portsmouth was simply so stunning, I laughed my head off when I saw him unleash that shot. And I have not seen such entertaining football in the Premier League for a couple of years already. Given Man U's lacklustre display against a seemingly revived and more resilient Newcastle side, I figure this year could be Chelsea's time to shine again. The more direct style of play, without having to play a game of close contact, is definitely more worthwhile to watch than worthless tackles resulting in yellow cards. Seriously, Chelsea are now even more serious contenders.
On a sidenote, I managed to bag 5 or 6 goals in a 5-a-side game within our class today. My muscles were aching after PE and my left knee felt as if it were going to give way, so I had to limp through school as though I am a 'bai ka' until the pain eased away. But I feel good being able to regain more strength recently. Running longer distances for longer periods of time doesn't seem as tough anymore, even though 2.4 km or even lesser than that is still out of the question. Hahax for one of the goals, Gerald had requested Jiasheng to pass the ball back to him as he was the goalie. So, Jiasheng, with his back facing me, tried to fend me off the ball and allow it to roll towards Gerald. So Gerald, expecting the ball to roll towards him, got a shock when it got rammed past him in the end!! Hahax I stretched my left leg out so that I got ahead of Jiasheng before I released my foot for a shot, stunning everyone in the process!! Gerald, you don't have to know where I am to know where the ball's coming from...
