in my dreams
Life's one big tumultuous journey.I thought I would get a break after my Promos, but there seems to be no rest, no stopping. I was supposed to be staying at home last Tuesday, resting. But I had to pop by VJC in the afternoon just so I can settle some drama stuff that was requested by the SC. But guess what, they screwed up big time, and only gave me approval for a script for Farewell Assembly (that I submitted almost 2 weeks before) less than 12 hours before their full dress rehearsal. And I had to negotiate with them even at 12am!!! [Btw, we didn't perform for Farewell Assembly :( ] Thankfully, Andrea was there to help me out. Hahax :) Thinking about her getting all angry and threatening to scold the blurry I/C over the phone just makes me want to burst into laughter! And then there was Open House. It was a really mad rush, with all the screw-ups present the night before. (I was at Takashimaya shopping and my handphone kept buzzing non-stop. Uhhhh.) Well, we managed to settle everything on the spot, pasting the stickers on the cups and getting ready the popcorns. Serena and Yvette even painted themselves as live adverts for The Dramatic Society for Dramatic People (TDSFDP), while Andrea and Adeeb walked backwards around school, distributing the popcorns. The IP1s, Mark, Christal, Kimberley and Liesl, helped out with the popcorns and papers as well. But many thanks to Adeeb, who stayed all the way till the end, and Andrea, who came down even though she was sick and lost her voice. On a sidenote, I realised that the TDSFDP members are really smart. We slapped DramaNite 08 photos all over our notice board, and now it looks really cool! But guess what, we forgot to leave a space for notices!! Hahax lol:) I shall upload a picture soon. Day One of lessons proper, but we are bombarded with results of our Promotional Exams. Well, I improved pretty substantially for Maths, Chemistry and Chinese, but did worse for Physics. My GP essay section got second in class with a 30/50, but I got a shock when Reuben's ridiculously sky-high 37/50 thrashed mine. I felt nauseatic by just hearing his results, like as if I had been taken on a roller-coaster ride! Wicked! I bought some winter clothing for my Tokyo trip from 10th to 18th December, but had to refund them as I started having rashes over my arms. Oh well, I guess I will buy them when the trip draws nearer. Getting pretty excited, can't wait for the perfect getaway in the cold winters of Tokyo. Oooohhhh!! I've been hooked to Grease!! I borrowed the DVD to watch, and it's so worth watching over and over again!!!Now I know why Serena wants to do it for DramaNite next year! It's such a snazzy musical with all the catchy tunes!! ZOMG!! I found some of the songs and left them on the player. Sweeney Todd- The Demon Barber of Fleet Street was not bad as well, but I think the darkness in the musical makes it less appealing than Grease. And uuuuhhhh, who can ever forget the blood splattering from the necks of Sweeney Todd's victims as he uses his razor to slash their necks :( Grotesque I guess I will be watching Moulin Rouge soon, since it was the musical that Serena and Kenickie first wanted to take on (and Doria recommended it as well). And there's Grease 2, Phantom of the Opera and Hairspray that I borrowed. Not to forget 命中注定我爱你, in which the entire set came in 7 DVDs. The aunty even left me a poster. Hahax :) I guess the rush doesn't end here. It continues beyond where I imagine it could be. Who says you got to be strong just to keep on holding on? "I think I love her, or my heart won't break this way." The time inches towards me, but with each breath, I grow hesitant, unsure, of my heart, of myself... |
